The history of the quick coupler is linked to the Miller brand
Miller UK was founded as a mobile welding service provider in 1978, but soon expanded its operations into bucket manufacturing. Over the following five years, its customer base expanded from local to global level, and by 1989 Miller had launched the world's first pin-grab quick coupler.
This product was a revolution in changing buckets and attachments. A long and often dangerous process was reduced to a fast, simple and safe procedure.
Miller now has an extensive portfolio of quick couplers for machines from 1 to 200 tonnes, offering its customers a wider choice than before.
Miller's quick couplers are used in construction, mining and the quarrying industry, but they are also the first choice of original equipment for many machine manufacturers and countless other satisfied customers worldwide.
Research and development is a core part of the company's business, and Miller constantly strives to improve all versions of its quick couplers by adding new safety features and innovative technical advantages.
To achieve predictable product parameters with regard to load and stress, Miller uses Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as part of its design process. In these tests, quality is physically verified through cyclic, destructive and operational tests, where the load parameters are deliberately set significantly higher than usual under normal operation.
You can rely on Miller UK's products for earthworks thanks to extensive testing in operation throughout Europe and North America.
With outstanding strength, safety features and an easy operating process, every product has everything it needs.

Why buy a Miller quick coupler?
- it can be connected directly to the machine's existing accessories
- no costly modifications needed
- the only quick coupler whose reliability has been proven over many years
- dramatically increases the machine's versatility, enabling a quick return on investment. A bucket can be gripped the classic way as a backhoe or in reverse for front loading
- guarantees a stronger connection than other couplers, also suitable for demolition, hammer work and ripper teeth
- manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards
- change of buckets or other accessories within seconds
- a sophisticated safety lock system already meets the upcoming EU standard today
- a large selection of mechanical and hydraulic models; automatic quick couplers are also available, allowing clamping without the operator leaving the cabin
- cast versions are lighter and stronger than welded designs, allowing minimisation of breakout force loss thanks to their low height, with an integrated lifting eye
- many renowned machine manufacturers fit their machines with the Miller quick coupler
- a detailed instruction manual is standard, as is installation and operator training
- universal quick couplers allow attaching accessories of similar size from other well-known manufacturers' brands too
