The ITR brand's tracked undercarriage product line is fully managed in-house, from the purchase of raw materials to final inspection, through component design, machining, heat treatment and the entire assembly process. Numerous quality inspections are carried out, starting with the purchase of ore and steel, using know-how and extensive experience in metallurgical processes and materials.

DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN

The concept, design and technical development of ITR brand tracked undercarriage components were carried out by USCO's technical and R&D departments using CAD systems and thanks to cooperation with partner universities.

The technical and R&D departments, located in Italy, South Korea and China, communicate continuously and share technical studies, technologies and expertise.

MANUFACTURING

Forging is carried out in-house, in a new manufacturing plant covering 35,000 m², on presses with a forging force of 1,600 and 2,500 tonnes, while the foundry operates on an area of 30,000 m², within a site of 54,000 m², with an annual casting capacity of more than 10,000 tonnes. The manufacturing structures use various heat treatment and mechanical machining processes to satisfy the highest international standards and OEM requirements.

QUALITY

Product development and optimisation are the result of cooperation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Structural Analysis at the University of Modena and the University of Reggio Emilia.

All manufacturing plants are equipped with laboratories and test facilities where various tests and material quality checks are carried out before and after manufacturing processes. Tests are carried out in-house, in accordance with international standards and using pre-calibrated instruments designed specifically to ensure the integrity of the results.

TRACK CHAINS

ITR chains cover an extensive range of machine brands and applications and can be available in various configurations:

• unlubricated without sealing
• unlubricated with steel sealing
• grease-lubricated with polyurethane sealing
• oil-lubricated with sealing and oil charge

ITR chain links are forged from boron steel to ensure excellent resistance to wear, with a hardened Rockwell C50 tread and a hardening depth of 8-12 mm or higher, depending on the dimensions of the link itself.

Lubricated chains are equipped with a split master link, which is manufactured using electrical discharge machining. The manufacturing process of ITR brand master links is patent-protected by USCO.

The bushing manufacturing process aims to achieve high core toughness, optimal surface hardness and wear resistance through a combination of overall and differential hardening.

The pin manufacturing process is deliberately designed to ensure high core strength and toughness, combined with wear resistance on the outer diameter.

Oil- or grease-lubricated chains use various "ALL WEATHER" seals, which vary depending on the application for which they were designed. PREMIUM chains feature new sealing groups, created to satisfy the highest quality standards, and are used in demanding applications. The seal shape and material composition guarantee excellent resistance to oil leakage and improve lubrication between the pin and bushing.

The ITR chain range includes products from mini excavators up to mining machines.

TRACK SHOES

The ITR brand track shoe range includes a series of products suitable for any application:

• single, double and triple-grouser track shoes
• standard and reinforced for demanding applications
• special shoes

ROLLERS

ITR brand track rollers and carrier rollers for excavators and bulldozers are specially designed for resistance to the most demanding applications and conditions. ITR supplies a wide range of dimensions and types for all the most common machine brands and models. ITR rollers are manufactured, forged and cast to a high toughness from selected raw materials, such as boron steel and other top-quality components.

Deep hardening and precise mechanical machining guarantee consistent product quality. Thorough assembly, lifetime lubrication charge, and quality checks during and after manufacturing ensure the reliability of ITR brand rollers.

The track roller and carrier roller range includes products from mini excavators, through bulldozers, up to large mining machines.

IDLERS

ITR brand idlers are manufactured using the most innovative design techniques and manufacturing processes. They are made from selected quality steel and undergo specific heat treatments with the aim of offering outstanding performance in the most demanding working environments. ITR idlers are fitted with advanced-design seals and are manufactured according to the strictest specifications in the industry. Assembly is carried out on production lines with automatic oil filling.

ITR brand idlers can be selected in various configurations:

• wheel body alone
• wheel with bushings, with axle
• wheel with recoil blocks
• wheel with yoke
• wheel including tensioning unit

The ITR brand track idler range includes products from mini excavators up to large bulldozers and mining excavators.

SPROCKET SEGMENTS

ITR brand sprocket segment groups are suitable for a wide range of tracked machines and their drives. The manufacturing process includes drop forging, machining and thorough hardening with an emphasis on achieving maximum operating service life.

Segment groups are available in a wide range for use especially with bulldozers.

SPROCKETS

Drive sprockets are manufactured by casting, mechanical machining and heat treatment. They are used for excavators or machines whose use or tracked undercarriages are similar.

The sprocket range is available for applications from mini excavators up to mining machines.
