In operation, abrasive wear on excavator buckets and loader buckets first shows up mainly on the inter-tooth areas of the cutting edge and on the lower part of the side walls. The need for costly repairs and the associated machine downtime can be postponed using additional protectors, which protect the working parts and prevent premature wear, or even failure and subsequent cracking of the cutting edge. Side protectors, thanks to their shape, also improve penetration and increase the speed of the working cycle. In both cases, distributing and easing the absorption of impact stress is also a significant benefit to the service life of construction machinery attachments.

We permanently keep a large selection of protectors of various designs in stock, whether for attachment by welding, bolting, or ESCO® Toplok® products made of premium alloys, which allow easy, safe and quick replacement without using a hammer.

We are happy to advise on a selection tailored directly to your working conditions and suggest the most suitable solution. Especially for larger construction and mining machines, installing wear-resistant protectors means minimising maintenance costs, reduces unproductive downtime, and by improving penetration saves tyres, wear on the boom and fuel.
